# IPython

- This release sees the packages required for IPython installed by default for Windows & Ubuntu.

- IPython can be accessed on these platforms using the `View->Launch IPython Console` menu item or by simply pressing `F5`.

## Redhat & Mac OS X

- IPython is still available for the remaining platforms by follwing the instructions here

- A future release will see these platforms also ship with IPython as standard.
